SpeakerBlog Terms and Conditions

1. Who these Terms are with

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern use of SpeakerBlog, a service that generates and publishes blog content for professional speakers using artificial intelligence.

SpeakerBlog is operated by Great Marketing Works Ltd, trading as SpeakerBlog, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 06735667, whose registered office is at 44 Nansen Street, Stretford, Manchester, M32 0JG ("we", "us" and "our").

2. Accepting these Terms

You accept these Terms when you confirm acceptance in your SpeakerBlog dashboard, or otherwise expressly agree to the version presented to you.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement.

If you use SpeakerBlog on behalf of a business or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

We record which version of these Terms you accepted and the date and time of acceptance.

Nothing is published on your behalf until you have accepted these Terms. Your blog is created but held private until then.

3. What SpeakerBlog does

SpeakerBlog uses artificial intelligence to generate blog posts based on your speaking topics, your professional profile and any documents you upload. Posts are published automatically to your blog at speakerblog.net on a daily schedule.

You can review, edit and delete posts at any time.

3.1 What SpeakerBlog does not do

We do not guarantee search-engine rankings, traffic, enquiries, bookings, income, or that any AI system will cite or reference your content.

We do not guarantee that generated content will be accurate, original, or suitable for publication. Section 5 explains your responsibility for what appears under your name.

4. Automatic publishing — what you are agreeing to

This is the part that acts without you, so it is set out plainly.

Once you have accepted these Terms and your blog is active, SpeakerBlog will generate and publish a new post to your public blog each day, automatically, without asking you first.

• Posts appear under your name, at your blog address, and are visible to anyone.
• Posts may be indexed by search engines and read by AI systems.
• You can pause publishing, delete any post, or close your blog at any time from your dashboard.
• We will tell you before making a material change to the publishing schedule.

If you do not want content published without prior review, do not activate your blog. Contact us and we will discuss what is possible.

5. Content generated in your name — who is responsible

You are responsible for what appears on your blog. It carries your name and your professional reputation.

Automatically generated content can contain errors, outdated information, or statements you would not make yourself. It is your responsibility to review what is published and to correct or remove anything you are not happy with.

We are not liable for any loss, reputational harm or claim arising from content published on your blog, except to the extent that liability cannot lawfully be excluded. See clause 13.

If you tell us about a post that is inaccurate, offensive or otherwise problematic, we will remove it promptly.

6. Who owns the content

You own the blog posts generated for you. We claim no ownership of them and you may use, republish, edit or repurpose them anywhere you like, without attribution to us.

You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute that content only as needed to operate SpeakerBlog and make your blog available. That licence ends when the content is removed.

Note that content generated by artificial intelligence may not attract copyright protection in the same way as content written by a person. We make no representation about the copyright status of generated content in any jurisdiction.

7. Documents you upload

You may upload documents — books, transcripts, articles, talks — to improve the content SpeakerBlog produces for you.

7.1 What we do with them

• We extract the text and divide it into sections.
• We send those sections to OpenAI to create embeddings, which are mathematical representations used to find relevant material when generating your posts.
• We store the sections and embeddings in a knowledge base that belongs to you alone.

7.2 What we do not do with them

• We do not use your documents to train any AI model, ours or anyone else's.
• We do not use your documents to generate content for any other speaker. Your knowledge base is used only for your blog.
• We do not publish your documents, sell them, or share them with anyone other than the providers listed in the Privacy Notice.

7.3 Your responsibility

You must have the right to upload what you upload. Do not upload material you do not own or have permission to use, including a publisher's copyrighted work, a client's confidential material, or anything containing another person's personal information without their agreement.

You can delete an uploaded document at any time. Deleting it removes it and its knowledge base entries. Posts already generated from it remain published unless you delete them too.

8. Your blog address and your account

Your blog is published at an address on speakerblog.net based on your name.

You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and for the security of your login.

9. Price

SpeakerBlog is included in a SpeakerMarketing membership. It is not sold as a separate subscription.

If you hold an existing arrangement agreed before this version of these Terms took effect, that arrangement continues on its own terms. Contact us if you are unsure what applies to you.

Where you pay for a SpeakerMarketing membership, the membership terms govern payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds.

10. If your membership ends

Your blog does not disappear the moment a membership ends.

We will contact you and give you at least 30 days to decide what you want to happen. During that time, new posts stop being generated but your existing blog stays online.

After that, if we do not hear from you, we will make your blog private. Your posts and documents are kept for a further 90 days so you can export them or reactivate. After 90 days we may delete them.

You can ask us to export your posts at any time, at no charge.

11. Acceptable use

You must not use SpeakerBlog to:

• publish false, misleading, defamatory, discriminatory, infringing or unlawful content;
• impersonate another person or publish under a name that is not yours;
• upload material you do not have the right to use;
• attempt to make the service generate harmful, abusive or unlawful content;
• attempt unauthorised access, scrape the service, or disrupt its security or availability; or
• use the service for unlawful, abusive, fraudulent or harmful purposes.

We may remove content, pause publishing, or suspend an account where we reasonably believe these Terms, the law, or another person's rights have been breached. Where we do, we will tell you why unless we are prevented from doing so.

12. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal data is explained in the SpeakerBlog Privacy Notice, which forms part of the information presented with these Terms.

Great Marketing Works Ltd is the data controller for personal data processed through SpeakerBlog.

13. Availability and liability

We aim to provide a reliable service but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SpeakerBlog is provided "as is" and "as available".

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for breach of your statutory rights as a consumer.

Subject to that, our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with these Terms is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or £100.

We are not liable for loss of profits, loss of business, loss of anticipated bookings, loss of goodwill, or any loss arising from content published on your blog.

14. Ending use of SpeakerBlog

You may stop using SpeakerBlog at any time from your dashboard or by emailing us. Clause 10 explains what happens to your blog.

We may suspend or end access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, comply with law, prevent harm, or address a material breach of these Terms.

15. Complaints

If something goes wrong, email dan@greatmarketingworks.co.uk. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and aim to resolve it within 30 days.

We do not currently use an alternative dispute resolution provider. If we adopt one, we will say so here.

Nothing in this clause affects your right to take a dispute to court.

16. Intellectual property

SpeakerBlog, its software, branding and design are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited right to use the service under these Terms, and your ownership of your own content under clause 6, no rights are transferred to you.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will identify the version and effective date and will give you at least 30 days' notice of any material change. Where a change materially disadvantages you, you may stop using the service before it takes effect.

We will ask you to accept a materially updated version before publishing continues.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law gives you another right.
